Oceanic and Hollis Open Circuit Technician Course

Whether this is your first service seminar, or you are simply keeping current, the AUP Open Circuit Technician Course is an in-depth service seminar covering the Life Support products for Oceanic and Hollis.

Course features an introduction to American Underwater Products (AUP) and covers administration (sales, warranty, and support programs), general procedures (interacting with customer and the service department requirements), and the hands-on dis/re-assembly of AUP Open Circuit equipment.

Covers the new 2017 Oceanic and Hollis regulator line up including the EDx/CDx, DCX, and DC7 diaphragms, and SPx Unbalanced Pistons First Stage. The Alpha 10, Delta V, and 200LX balanced Second Stages, the Delta 4 and Alpha 8 Mechanical Second Stages, and the 500SE Servo Valve (Hollis) Second Stage. Also, covers BCDs, the Air-XS 2, and Reliant Inflator. As well as Instrumentation annual services and inspections.

While Technicians who satisfactorily complete this course will be authorized to service all AUP Open Circuit Life Support products, the distributions of parts is restricted to active, brand specific, accounts in good standing.

Pre-requisite required for this course: None

This course is a pre-requisite for: the Hollis Explorer ESCR and Prism 2 CCR Technician Courses. As well as registration into upcoming web-based AUP technician site containing: service procedures, product, service, and training updates, and to meet upcoming parts ordering requirements.


Hollis Rebreather Service Technician Course - Explorer ESCR and Prism 2 CCR

The Hollis Rebreather Service Technician Course is an in-depth service seminar covering the design features and benefits, trouble shooting, hands-on dis/re-assembly, and general maintenance of both the Explorer ESCR and the Prism 2 CCR Rebreather systems.

The hands-on portion of the Explorer ESCR course covers the service and preventative maintenance of the modular assemblies which make up the Explorer ESCR, including the breathing loop, canister assembly, 1st stage supply regulator, BOV, primary heads up display, over-pressure valves, oxygen and CO2 sensors, electrical connectors and cable routing, and solenoid.

The hands-on portion of the Prism 2 course covers the breathing loop, scrubber bucket and basket, manual Oxygen and Diluent addition valve, 1st stage supply regulators (does not cover 02 cleaning), DSV, BOV, primary heads up display, batteries and over-pressure valves, oxygen sensors, routing board, electrical connectors and cable routing, and oxygen solenoid.

Pre-requisite required for this course: Attendee must have attended a AUP Open Circuit Technician Course within the past year.

Requirement: Current oxygen (02) equipment service technician certification through a recognized training agency.

Recommended: Prior familiarization with CCR rebreather as a diver or instructor.
